Stimulating business growth

North Kent Enterprise Zone (NKEZ) is one of the southeast region’s new business hubs for innovation and entrepreneurial growth.

We work with NKEZ to deliver a marketing and communications strategy to promoting the hub, encouraging growth in business and employment in Kent and Medway. Our remit covers branding, print collateral, PR, website design, digital and advertising.

Creating an umbrella brand

As a multi-site Enterprise Zone encompassing three locations and five sites, we were initially tasked to produce its umbrella brand identity to bring together all schemes and stakeholders.

We started with a discovery workshop to gain a thorough understanding of the sites with all stakeholders – representatives from five Councils, three Planning and Development consultants and key stakeholders from Locate in Kent and Thames Gateway Kent Partnership. Together, we explored objectives, benefits, the competitive landscape, audiences and vision for each of the sites and used these findings to write a brand story and inform a robust creative strategy.

Clear, clean and striking

By hosting this workshop, we gained overall buy in from all stakeholders from the outset and the chosen route was a strong and intelligent brand identity encompassing each sites’ needs. This was then articulated into a suite of brand guidelines and translated into a clean, clear, and striking website to act as an information portal, leveraging awareness of all schemes and aiming to create an appetite for investment in the area.

We have also supported the NKEZ at this year’s MIPIM UK exhibition, creating a series of exhibition banners and marketing collateral to communicate the benefits to key audiences, reflecting the newly designed brand.
