Leeds Castle ‘The Loveliest Castle in the World’ is one of the UK’s most stunning tourist locations, with 900 years of history and 500 acres of beautiful grounds to explore.
We have an 11-year trusted relationship with the castle, enabling us to closely assist in achieving overall business objectives and strategy to meet ambitious visitor targets.
Our long-standing relationship commenced with the introduction of ‘Key to the Castle’ an annual ticketing campaign. We have since become an extension of their marketing team, supporting them to achieve increased footfall and positioning Leeds Castle as one of the best tourism visitor destinations in the UK.
A portfolio of events
Our team deliver campaigns across the board from day visitors, weddings, supporting a programme of seasonal events and corporate services for Leeds Castle. We deliver inventive creative campaigns with high exposure annual media planning to ensure we promote with ambitious reach.
Leeds Castle has a full programme of summer events, ranging from day to night events, catering all age groups and varied interests. Our ‘Super Summertime’ campaign had a real festival vibe to attract a younger audience and communicate the summer programme of events. An all-encompassing campaign was positioned in key south east locations included bus rears, London underground posters and onsite marketing collateral. The campaign also ran online and on air through Heart FM.
Christmas is also a key time for the castle, their programme of events is exciting and varied, including a Christmas market. With the run up to these festive events, we created a high exposure media strategy to increase peak time footfall.
Our year-long media and marketing campaigns have delivered 40,000 extra visitors, year-on-year. This calculates to 5% over on targeted visitor numbers since 2014.
Our high exposure media strategy Super Summertime resulted in 24% increase in visitors in July and 14% increase August. Our festive Christmas campaign in 2016 saw some 22k visitors.
