Promoting a programme of events for Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle had planned a full programme of events to fill the Summer period in 2016. Events ranged from day to night events and catered to all age groups and varied interests. Working on the creative for this campaign, we needed to develop a concept that supported the individual events and target audiences, as well as an overarching theme which could be carried throughout the whole event calendar.

A summertime festival vibe

The visual design route developed was suggestive of a summertime festival, which paired with eye-catching typography gave Leeds Castle a fun, all-encompassing campaign that was different to typical campaigns of the past.

We also created a media strategy which saw the creative executed across various outdoor formats including bus artworks, London underground posters, field banners, as well as the Leeds Castle entrance flags. The campaign also ran in print and online, supported with a radio campaign on Heart FM and a 6pp leaflet which Leeds Castle distributed on site and in Take One slots around South East England.

Increased visitor numbers year on year

  • 24% increase in visitor numbers for July 2016
  • 14% increase for August 2016 when compared to 2015
