A super speedy website design for DS Virgin Racing

When DS Virgin Racing approached us for a new website design, we knew we had to make it interactive, exciting, cutting edge and lightning-quick to load!  As the team have so much ‘spur of the moment’ news to broadcast, we had to develop the perfect resolve for all their needs.

Original and socially integrated website design

We created a bright, vibrant, visually engaging site that captured fans’ imagination through rich imagery of the cars, drivers and races. Load times were a critical factor to reflect the speed of the brand, so we developed custom coding to address key challenges and serve different sized images depending on the device being used. We also developed a homepage social wall to pull content from  Twitter and DS Virgin Racing’s own YouTube and Instagram channels. Our intelligent coding allowed all channels to work together seamlessly and made our homepage the place for fans to come for to-the-minute team news.

  • A visually immersive and responsive site accessed in 167 countries, with consistent load time of c.1 second or less and a performance grade of 95/100.
  • 37% increase in visitors each month, with huge spikes during race weekends.
  • An e-commerce area was added generating £4,500 revenue for the London race within two months.
